Why our progress saves when we close the tab?

In standard Eaglercraft we see it today, when you close the tab and join again, your progress may be saved. In some certain ways, when you play on Eaglercraft, you might wanna play it and close the tab, but the second you join, your profile, avatar, and progress stays the same.
